Empire Foods Dispatches First Season Shipment of Egyptian Valencia Oranges to Europe

Empire Foods is delighted to announce the dispatch of its first shipment of Egyptian Valencia oranges to a European partner, marking a strong start to the 2024 export season. This shipment represents a key milestone in our continued expansion into European markets and reinforces Egypt’s position as a leading citrus exporter. Harvested from carefully selected farms, the oranges were handled under strict quality control and cold-chain logistics to ensure they arrived in peak condition — rich in flavor, vibrant in color, and perfectly fresh.

Before departure, the shipment underwent comprehensive testing to meet all European Union import regulations. Detailed analyses were carried out to verify compliance with maximum residue limits (MRLs) for pesticides, sugar-to-acid ratios, fruit firmness, size grading, peelquality, and the absence of physical defects. Additional microbiological and packaging integrity checks confirmed the fruit’s safety and readiness for export.
